OK, now you made me feel bad. That is a really good story….so .. Simper Fi it is. I have never served in the military, but my father fought in World War II and performed under water demolition. Basically, he swam into enemy ports, planted explosives on enemy ships, and got out as fast as possible. He also was responsible for going into enemy ports to rescue reconnaissance teams. He lost many friends in Pearl Harbor, yet...he never hated the Japanese....at least he never made me believe he did. When I read the earlier posts, it seemed as if some of us were speaking derogatory towards the Japanese. In memory of my father who has passed away, I felt compelled to call them out on their posts. And I would do it again. Thanks for the good story! In memory of your friend!
