Intelasys and The Microprocessor Summit

Greetings, I want to contribute to the dialogue regarding today’s Embedded Systems Conference.

I attended today’s sessions and I have an opportunity to provide a brief update. Jim Turley did a great job. Essentially he was the Master of Ceremonies. Jim is accustomed to fulfilling this role and the industry is very comfortable having Jim drive content, discussion and guest speakers. There were ~ 85 attendees and Jim is on a first name basis with many of these individuals.

Intelasys was allotted 20 minutes for a product overview, and this was followed by 10 minutes of Question & Answer from the audience (this was the format for all 4 companies that presented). Intelasys did NOT formally unveil their product today. Dave Guzeman, Intelasys’ Chief Marketing Officer, provided the audience a “sneak preview.” There is no doubt in my mind that this multi-core solution is the product of Chuck Moore. Dave stated that their product will be launched in 1 month…and all of the corresponding press releases will accompany that launch.

After the presentation, I spoke directly with Dave Guzeman and Jim Turley.

Ignite and Inflame (from PTSC) are NOT a part of the product that they are preparing to launch according to Dave Guzeman, Intealsys’ Chief Marketing Officer.

I am “long” on Patriot, and their future is bright IMHO. The board really needs to focus on the merits of the MMP Portfolio.

Regards,
