For all going to the shm at LaCosta beware that if you are staying south or north of the resort the traffic can be a bear especially on Fridays. If you have plans to fly out of Lindbergh on Friday afternoon note it can take as long as an hour and a half to get to the airport on that day of the week, if you find yourself on the freewary after 2:30pm. Midday drive time to the airport or downtown is usually about 30 - 40 minutes. Also for those driving up to the resort from Lindbergh suggest you take note of the merge of 5 and 805, when it is finished in 2007 it will be 24 lanes wide!
