I'm so sorry to read about your friend's daughter.  You are so right; it certainly takes the shine off the apple when serious illness hits those you love. 

It puts it all in prospective, doesn't it.  Money, shares and all this hype takes a back seat to the health and well-being of those close to us.

I will most definitely pray for her, her family, you and yours, Pappythom.
