For all you Giant fans, your team was spectacular yesterday. Very few mistakes, and that defense was tenacious. Looks like Eli has matured into a very good quarterback and still improving, and Plexico Burress was right, the Giant receivers were superior to the Pats receivers. Big win and deservedly so. It'll be interesting to see how Coughlin is treated this offseason compared to last, and to see how they are able to build further on this, as if the second half o this season was any indication, they have the nucleus of a great team. Hopefully, Spagnola doesn't leave for Washington.
For you Pats fans, and by that I mean you, ease, that was a disappointing end to what was a great season. As much as I dislike the Pats (mostly becuase of the arrogance of Belicose), I recognize that the had perhaps their best team talent wise this year, and they were a great team. Their strength has always been to play all 60 minutes and capitalize on the other team's mistakes, while making few or none themselves. This year, they added to that by creating an offense that was really really good, not because of Randy Moss, Wes Welker and Donte Stallworth as many might imply, but because like most great teams, their offensive line played tremendously all year, giving Tom Brady the ability to make plays to those three, and giving Muroney the occassional good game to round things out. But all in all, while not a championship team, still a great season.
