No, Wolf, we're not blood related, but we've been very good friends since we met at one of the radio stations where we worked together. She was the executive producer of 3 local shows (back n the days when they had local talk) and I was what amounted to her assistant. I did some phone screening as well as producing. ( I was the producer for Mike Walker, who is one of the editors of The Inquirer and is seen often on TV these days. He had a two hour show in West Palm and it was always a blast working for him. I got to talk to a lot of stars who appeared on the show.......met a couple, too.) I also produced a show for a guy named Jack Cole.
Rebecca had the "posh" job where she got a lot of perks. One of those was a trip to Hawaii for two people, and since she had just broken up with her boyfriend, she took me! This was when she was the executive producer and also in charge of the marketing and public relations for a nationally syndicated computer show. This is also the show that sent her to Washington state in 1999 where she met Jim Turley and Nick Tredennik, having no foggy notion that something called PTSC even existed. Jim Turley was one of the main speakers at the 3 day seminar and she returned to West Palm with nothing short of an absolutely glowing report of how bright this guy was. She raved about his intelligence, his ability to speak and his wonderful sense of humor. This first impression has a lot to do with our attitude toward him today. He has no idea that she even owns this stock and very likely, without seeing her, would have no idea who she is.
Now you know why we were so pleased to see Jim Turley, not only come to the board, but also to be named CEO.
Now, back to your original question.......greeneyes has been a sister to me since I lost my sister to cancer in 1993. I'm old enough to be her mother, but the years make very little difference considering what we have in common.
