EDIGOKIE,
You're one of the posters I respect on this board, so I hesitate to take exception to your comment here, but --
Yes, Johnson and the other BOD members certainly have a lot to do with the events and actions that have led to "this stupidity." You visited the company's offices, as I recall. So have I. And I've called, too, just to see what's going on. Last time I did, it was voice mail, and the few employees there aren't even on any type of phone tree, and they'd all been there a good while. The company's logo is not outside on the building, as is the case with many other tenants. Does anything ever go on in that office, other than the receptionist answering the occasional call?
Now, all this may just be the way bid-ness gets done. And undoubtedly, each and every BOD member and company officer has his/her back sufficiently covered so as not to be nailed down in any sort of legal way. Or so one would think.
The fact remains that this company, through its spokespeople (who often happen to be the CEOs), keeps touting the value of its patent portfolio (comparing it to having a patent on water), saying that there will be tens of millions of dollars coming in per year, paying lip service to shareholders' concerns, and then the same sort of thing keeps happening: earnings disappointments, supposed pursuit of M&A, supposed pursuit of a more regulated trading exchange, and on and on.
Does no one remember our long list of sales managers, CEOs, CTOs?
Who hired them and oversaw them? I believe they would be: Johnson, Felcyn and Falk.
Anyway, not to direct all of that to you, Mr. EDIGOKIE, but I just want to clarify that, while today's price action might not be Mr. Johnson's fault, it is a fact that he and Felcyn and Falk have all been in a position of oversight through the many years that have led us to today. And that, I think, bears some serious looking into.
