When I was in third grade ( age 8, I think) I had a teacher that had spent the summer in Africa. During our school year she would bring in items she had purchased from her trip and do a show and tell, it was interesting. During each presentation she never failed to mention the rough life certain peoples of that continent were going through; no food, attacks from other countries, illness due to many factors, etc.
Now, fast forward fifty years. What the hell has changed?
