A number of years ago, my father-in-law planted tomatoes in a spot where he could see them from the kitchen window. Each day he would get up, look out the window and comment on how well his tomatoes seemed to be doing.......getting bigger all the time.

One morning, he looked out the window and was thrilled to see that some of the larger ones were red. He went tearing out the door.......only to find that my mothr-in-law had slipped out earlier and covered them with red tissue paper.

We all had a few laughs over that one!
