For the most part I agree with you. My point is that we shouldn't intentionally offend people because it's not nice for one, and it's bad manners for another; not because it's against the law or against the board rules. We're all adults here, (I think).

I don't need "rules" telling me what I can or can't say. I don't need someone to arbitrarily make a call on what I say based on their opinion on weather something I've said is "offensive" or not. What is offensive to one person may be a compliment to another. It's all subjective. Thus not wanting to have others to decide based on their own values, thought process, bias's, politics, etc... to decide if something I said is "offensive" or not. Especially if they don't know what I said was meant to be offensive or not.

I think manners can go a long way. And should someone be "offended", weather the material was truly offensive or not; he or she is a big girl; they can handle it.

I notice some things on this board get deleted or flagged while other things do not? Why would that be? Who makes those calls? How is that that certain people have the power to make that call and others don't? Did any of us vote for the board monitors? Why do we even have board monitors? These are some questions that go along way toward pointing out the subjectiveness of what is "offensive", and who makes the call on what is or isn't "offensive", and what is done about it. You ever notice how some people on this board will point out to a board monitor that as far as they're concerned a certain post can be deleted, even though there is nothing wrong with that post other than someone else doesn't like it? Think about these kind of questions.

By the way for you board monitors, I'm not trying to single you out or make this personal. I'm just trying to make a point. I don't want to get into a pissing match with you; so please don't make more of an issue about this. I'm just trying to get people to think. I think I'm asking some good questions. I'm not trying to "offend" anyone, although it may be possible that I do. Not my intent.
