What ever gave you the idea that other countries around the world EVER liked us or the way we thought? Yes, we have a few staunch allies, Canada included, but if the truth be know, very few countries like us or agree with our way of life. They repect the power we have, both economically and militarily, but like us, no. Just look at the money we give to most of the countries around the world. It is as much as some as their GNP. Then look at how those same countries vote at crunch time in the UN. They don't seem to like our ideas but they like the money. What many of these countries are, is jealous of what we have and how we live our lives. I am not defending everything we do as correct, but by-and-large I think America really does try to do the right thing around the world and what do we get in return, ill will. They take our kindness for weakness. I don't like nation building, and I think we may go to far in that regard, but we do have to protect our interests around the world.

We have enough problems to deal with here in the USA. Poverty, health care, education, immigration, etc. I say keep the money here. Use it to solve our problems first. If any is left over, let the people vote on where and how much is sent to foreign countries. Who gives a rats a$$ what other countries think? Please note only only one ? lol
