We're not debating whether the rest of the world would LIKE to influence our electoral process, at least I'm not. We're debating whether our cititzens should take that into account in voting, and you have yet to make any case to that effect except that "it sure would be nice" if we would.
Again, while I was aware of the Canadian elections, are you able to provide a similar poll to the one that you posted that expressed the world's opinion on who Canadians should vote for or for whom the international community had the most support? Can you show me one for Sarkozy's election in France? How about the recent elections in England? How about Merkel's election in Germany in 2005?
Let me ask it this way. What if there was a concerted effort by the Amercan voters and media to actively influence through polls and campaigns the election process in every country that does trade with the US, or interacts with us in any other way, in an effort to elect a staunch conservative, hawkish, pro-Israel, pro-US President or Prime Minister? Would you personally feel that we had a valid voice that you should consider before voting in your election?
