The only difference being Lincoln was a real American taking advice from other real Americans. With Obama, we will get a socialist taking advice from other anti-Americans (as his record already demonstrates): Wright, Ayers, Khalidi, Pelosi, Reid, Frank; not to mention our external enemies.
It is stunning how otherwise-intelligent people are consumed by oratory and rhetoric, and in ignorance dismiss the record and reality.
