I agree with what you're saying if it was that simple. The problem isn't, and never has been about how much money the state brings in. The problem is about how much money they spend! If you gave them a nickel, they would spend a dime. If you increase the tax base by 1.5 Billion in revenue from the leaglization of pot, they would just end up spending 2 Billion. I guarantee it!!! This state brings in TONS of money. It's never enough for these people; and it never will be until we get some fiscal conservatives in power. Which will never happen in a state of socialist/marxists who think and expect the state to take care of them. And that it's their RIGHT to "free" healthcare, and every other social program you can think of.

Nope, it's never been about the income to the state; it's always been about the spending.
