A big problem would be rationing. Currently the wait list in Canada is 8 weeks for cemotheropy treatment. 8 weeks certainly can be a death sentence to cancer patients. Because you are far left, you are blind to the realities associated with the new health care plan. Most of the government programs are not run well and are broke.
Why is it that somthing as significant as this health care bill, which will impact every U.S. citizen, can't be outlined in lamens terms for the general public to digest and why cant it be properly read and debated and modified. These Congressmen are not even reading the bill and they are voting for somthing as important as this. FW, you talk about how you would like to see PTSC be more forthcoming with information about our investment, yet you seem to support the governments plan to shove this very important legislation through without giving the general public enough information to decide what needs work and what is OK, what's up with that? Think of it this way, you know how you don't trust PTSC management when they keep things secret and do dumb things with the revenue they receive, well this is no different, we do not trust the government in place to do what is right for it's citizens by trying to push this through without it being properly read and debated. The government in power also has a reputation for wasting our tax money and therefore we must now watch them and ask questions to find out what we're going to have to pay for and what we're expecting to get.
We can see on this forum that the country is also divided. I see no common ground achievable if both sides are dug in.
This country is broke for many reasons. One reason is that the United States has had to be the defender of the world against Communism, dictatorships and terrorists all on the backs of the US citizens that actually get out and work for a living.
Another reason we're broke is that our government is so wasteful with the taxpayers money. As a conservative, this unpresidented spending causes us to be very concerned about the future and the debt our children will inherit.
