I would like to ask some honest questions to my left leaning fellow stock owners here.
1.) Generically speaking, do you think Govt. run programs, (of any type), are well ran? Can you list some examples?
2.) Generally speaking, do you feel it is a good thing for government to play a greater role in our lives, or a smaller role?
3.) Do you feel that it is ok to take from those who have more and give to those that have less?
4.) Do you feel that we, (all of us), should primarily look to ourselves for answers and to be responsible for ourselves, or do you think we should look to the governement for answers and to be responsible for us?
I could ask a million more; but let's see if I get any responses from those first.
For what it's worth, I'm for health care reform also. But I define reform as removing inefficiences from the existing system. I would like to see more competition in the health care field. I would like to see tort reform so that once can't sue for tens or hundreds of millions of dollars against hospitals, doctors, and nurses.
I absolutely don't want to see government playing a bigger role in health care. I absolutely don't want to see socialized health care like in Europe and Canada. If it works for you and you're happy with it over then, then great. Other than the costs getting out of hand here, I like our health care just fine.
