A couple of years ago I was driving around town and heard someone complain on the radio about Latinos waiting to pick up up their kids from the local school "sitting in their brand new Lexuses and talking on their cell phones" as it happened I was close by and decided to check. What I saw was what you'd likely see outside any school. Harried parents picking up their kids. Most of the cars were older models, no Lexuses. Sometimes our point of view is colored by our preconceptions. But there were no brand new Lexuses.
