I now know that the Canadian Health care system doesn't work. Especially the mental health side. You, my lad, are living proof. Do you actually live in Canada, or do you live in the USA? As I said last year in a post, I see and speak to a lot of Canadians in my business. We discuss and compare things between our countries. The two most diliked things that the Canadians complain about are the exchange rate and their bad health system. One guy, who happened to visit me just last week, had to take his 2 year old granddaughter to the Mayo clinic in NY for treatment because her condition was deteriorating and he felt she would not last until her scheduled appt. in Canada. Thank Goodness, two years later and a whole bunch of money, she is doing great. All of her follow-up treatment, which may last for some time, will be done at the Mayo Clinic. So much for socialized medicine. She was fortunate to have the US to fall back on. When we (USA) go socialized, where do we go in a similar situation?

Another thing he mentioned again last week is, that in Canada the Dr's are allowed to earn only so much. Once they hit that limit they are off to sunny Florida for the winter. That is in Quebec anyway. I can only take these people at their word since I have never visited our neighbors to the north to see for myself.
