I agree with you on that Sedley. Bush never should have been spending our money on bailouts either. These were all private corporations. I say let them sink or swim. There's a reason we have bankrupcty courts.

I'm a rightie and I don't worship any super rich, or even rich. Why would I do that? I'm poor. I just want there to be a legal and fair level playing field for all involved. And I don't call taking from some against their will and giving to others fair. I would like to see some common sense being used.

As far as our defecit and debt go; I don't care how we stack up compared to the rest of the world. I know what I'm going to say isn't very realistic in our day and age; but I would like to see our federal budget somewhere below 20% of the GDP. Let's get back to what the constitution says; let's pay for the common defense, promote the general welfare, (this didn't mean promote welfare programs; nor did it mean that the government is financially and/or legally responsible for everyone), and secure the blessings of liberty; for ourselves and our posterity. I don't see these things happening in this day and age. Am I asking so much to have an America that is debt free, (or very close to it); that has the government just do what is required of it in the consitution, (and no more); to have a free and prosperous country where there is a level playing field in that everyone has the same chances and opportunties to make their own life and get ahead if they can, (This doesn't mean we take from some against their will and give to others; everyone is responsible for theirselves); to have a government live within it's means?
