Actually the vast majority of it went to, effectively, transfer payments; either directly or indirectly through keeping public sector employees employed, when in fact the public sector should have been making drastic cutbacks like the private sector ..... instead of deferring the inevitable for another year.

Public sector largesse is burying this nation.

Oh well.............. I guess thats hope and change .................
