There is a certain amount of people that don't pay taxes and their very existance is dependent on the government. Welfare is the wall that keeps these people from becoming productive citizens. They think the money can just keep flowing from the taxpayers to fund all these entitlement programs. Yes it would be wonderful to be able to provide affordable medical insurance to everyone. But the reality is that we can't afford to bankrupt the country with another huge entitlement program to do it. Most Americans get this and the elitists like Obama, Reid and Pelosi havn't got a clue. The republicans have excellent ideas on reforming health care without trying to reinvent it with a huge bloated beauocracy that has continually demonstrated great waste, fraud and corruption. All the entitlement programs the government runs are in trouble because of it. Yet there are some people I call the Koolaid drinkers that believe the government can efficiently run health care. I liked what McCain had to say about no special deals for some states that all citizens need to be treated equally under the plan. I think most Americans want to see the proposed bill scrapped and they want democrats and republicans start fresh and work together to come up with a bill that dosn't require a government takeover but provides solutions to the reasons why health care is so expensive and unaffordable. I would think they would bring in doctors and insurance companies into the discussion to come up with practical solutions that won't cost taxpayers any more money but that will actually rduce insurance costs so that more Americans can afford it. The majority of the people are fed up with the business as usual in DC and they want to see their elected officials work for the good of the people and not the special interests. Many people voted for Obama because he ran on change well so far the only change we've seen is even more irresponsible spending, corruption and partisan politics. The people are hungry for a new direction with responsible leadership.
