Why do you just blame Republicans for lying about WMD's?

Might I suggest that you research what actually occurred leading up to the war? Do you recall just about every Democrat in Congress agreed that Iraq had to be stopped and if it took a war so be it. People such as Kerry and Clinton etc etc etc all were for going to war based on the same information that Bush had. Do you recall that the French, the British, the Japanese and the Italians etc etc all confirmed they has the same intelligence. Bush should take the lions share of the blame as he was Commander in Chief but to lay it all on him when Congress passed a resolution allowing him to go to war and that included most democrats shows that there is plenty of blame to go around.

Do I think that Bush was right all the time....heck no and I have often said I was very disappointed in his actions though I did support how he took immediate and strong leadership directly after 9/11 without waiting for the polls to come in. However, right or wrong I would rather someone stand on principle and not change his/her opinion based upon political wind (i.e. John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, John Kerry and on and on).

Because no wmd's were found in Iraq our "brave" men and women in Washington are afraid to take a stand against Iran, a country that is most definitely seeking to acquire wmd's and the ability to deliver them. I believe that Saddam if he had been left alone just might be at the same juncture at this time. However, with politicians afraid to speak up and act against Iran for fear of folks who think like you, we might be looking at WWIII in the face and then what will you have to say. By the way did not Senator Obama during the campaign say if elected he would got to Iran and sit down and talk with Achmadinajad without any pre conditions? Has he left yet?

You use the term "screwed the pooch", I assume you are a vet as that is a phrase I learned in the Army. If so then like myself you know that that intelligence from the govt is almost an oxymoron. However unlike you I do not want anybody to keep their mouth shut as that is the only way we can tell the liars and thief's from the statesmen of whom there are so few.

Also you may or may not have seen action but with two sons in the service at the present time I do not need to be reminded of the statistics you throw around. Those numbers represent real American men and women for the most part the bravest our country has to offer..... they are not numbers they are sons and daughters, husbands and wives. Unlike what I saw back in '69 I will not let these folks be treated poorly by any person with a political axe to grind.

Last thought while I am on a roll..... Our current President has often stated he does not see why he needs to put his hand over his heart when the stars and stripes passes or the National anthem is played (he is doing so more now that his approval #'s are sinking) but he see's nothing wrong in bowing with effect to Kings and Emperor's as we are told by his "people" it is a sign or respect. Never has an American President gotten his signs of respect so twisted.
