Wolfie, did you really say "this is excellent" or is it another copy/paste? I thought you were smarter than this.
Where are Ashley's mum and dad in this heart-rending tear-jerker. What is their history? Killed in a car crash when Ashley was seven? Wasted alcoholics? Divorced? Did they also lose all their money in the crash of 2008?
"...He's a life-long Republican and sees his dream of retiring next year has all but evaporated. With the stock market crashing and new taxes coming his way,..."
Again, the crash started in 2008, with a Republican in the White House since 2000. And, if Grandpa's lost so much money that he's no longer a member of the super-rich, he doesn't have to worry about having to pay more taxes, does he?
"...Ashley is a recent college grad. She drives a flashy hybrid car, wears all the latest fashions, and loves to go out to nightclubs and restaurants..."
Maybe Grandpa should have taught Ashley to live within her means and plan for the future. What does any of this crap have to do with being a Republican or Democrat? Again, no mention of Ashley's mum and dad. What values did they espouse for their daughter?
"Ashley campaigned hard for Barack Obama."
Well, of course! Who else would she campaign for? (say this with sarcasm - unfortunately I have to spell it out for those unfortunates who gave this story a thumbs-up.)
"I'm also very sorry to report that your cousin Frank will no longer be working summers in the warehouse. I called him at school this morning. He already knows about it and he's upset because he will have to give up skydiving and his yearly trip to Greenland to survey the polar bears."
Nice dig at all those self-indulgent environmental wastrels who don't know the value of a dollar either.
Thnaks for the Sunday morning entertainment.
