Srandil, you are one really messed up guy. I realize that nothing that I could say to you will penetrate this wall of ignorance that you've wrapped yourself in. I really do pity you. You are a lost soul my friend.
Yes, you really know me so well. My grandparents moved to Oregon from Nebraska during the dust bowl depression years and lived in Portland for two years before moving to the farm in the foothills of the Cascades. My grandfather did carpentry and painted houses and fell off a roof when a scaffle broke and uncle Bill landed on him and Grandpa broke his back. So the kids, 5 boys and 2 girls worked like mygrant workers do today picking fruits and vegetables at other farms to earn enough money to support the family. My uncle Harry was killed in the battle of the bulge at age 18. My uncle Bill fought in North Africa and through Italy. He was the heaveyweight boxing champion in his division and he was unbeaten in boxing matches when his division would meet up with others. He quit boxing because he was afraid he was going to kill someone because he had so much power. My uncle Fred quit high school as a fresman because they were poor and his clothes looked bad he became a self made millionaire with hard work farming, building homes and working for the electric company. My uncle George could lift a full 55 gallon drum of diesel from the ground and set it in the back of a pick-up truck. He had heavey equipment and built roads and State parks. My uncle Buzz was an all American linebacker and center for Oregon State and played in the Rose bowl his Junior year in college in 1957 he had letters from professional football teams that were interested in him but he came down with Lieukemia and died listening to the Oregon State football game in what would have been his senior year. Phil Knight wrote an article in the Arch rival University of Oregon paper about Buzz and his greatness. Buzz was also the intermural heaveyweight boxing champion at Oregon State knocking out a Samoan football teammate for the title. My dad was the runt of the brothers. He was tough as nails though and a 4 point student in high school. He played quarterback at Pacific University. He scored the highest on the human anatomy test at Pacific University of any student to that date. He was a teacher, coach and a farmer. All were my heroes and role models growing up.
I was the middle child and only boy in a family with four sisters. I grew up on the farm we had strawberries and cattle. From third grade I picked berries in the summer to earn money to buy my school clothes for the next year. From 7th grade on I helped dad cut, bale and buck hay. We had 125 registered polled hereford brood cows so we put up 8000 to 10,000 bales of hay every summer to feed the cows through the winter. We branded them tatooed their ears and put bells on the cows and every spring we would release them into the Mount Hood National forest to roam over thousands of acres and evry fall we would find the cows and bring them home. After school I would come home and being the only son with four sisters I always had to go out and feed the cows 24 bales of hay at night and milk the dairy cow for our milk. I wrestled and played football and when I came home I would feed the cows as well. I had to carry 4 bales of hay about 600 yards from the barn to the Bull pen as well. I got so I could pack all four bales at one time so I didn't have to make two trips. We didn't have a lot of money so we didn't get a lot of toys but there always seemed to be some under the Christmas tree. Many were used or simple things, but we had fun making our own toys and building forts and playing games. We made some awesome hay forts. All my uncles and aunts had big families and lived in the same town so we always got together at Easter and I had lots of playmates growing up. After high school I worked at Safeway bakery stacking hot pans, racking off bread, feeding the slicer or working in shipping to put myself through college. I graduated from college with a two year degree in mechanical drafting. I took a job as an illustrator making $3.90 an hour drawing in the engineering department. I was the lowest paid employee in the engineering department. I could solve defect problems on large structural investment castings that engineers with doctors degrees couldn't solve. I developed gating systems for some of the largest investment castings in the world used in the heart of comercial as well as military aircraft engines. I taught casting school to engineers from Rocketdyne who made rocket engines for NASA. I never bid on a job or asked for a raise while I worked there 25 years and I retired as the senior parts engineer. I have a retirement coming at age 65 from the company I worked at for 25 years and I have a 401K plan. I'm not counting on the 401K, social security, or my pension for my retirement. I've never taken one penny in unemployment, though I've never been unemployed. I built a business in Christmas trees while working my regular job until my farm got big enough I could treetire and work on my farm where my passion is. I've designed and built some of my own equipment for the tree farm. I can build just about anything out of metal or wood. I can do electrical, plumbing, bodywork, mechanics, septic systems and drain fields, excavation, tree falling, ground clearing, grow fruits, vegetables and trees, sprinkler systems, masonry, field drainage, built I designed and built my own home, raise animals. I own 4 pieces of property and own everything all my farm equipment and vehicles are all paid for. For hobbies I Snow ski, waterski, camp, hike, oil paint, build furniture, clam dig, garden and travel.
I grew up Catholic and was taught to live life based on the 10 commandments, personal responsibility, respect for others and ourselves and hard work. When you done something wrong you were punished and I got my share of spankings. As a result I've never been arrested, never been in jail, never taken illegal drugs, never smoked pot, never smoked a cigarette, I have a beer now and then, been faithfully married 27 years to the same person who happens to be a woman. I treat everyone as equals and feel like I'm no better than anyone else, I work right along side my employees doing the same work. I have two children. One I've put through college and the other will graduate from college this year. They both are responsible young adults that live by the same standards I learned from my parents. They love us and we love them. My dad and mon retired at ages 78 and 79 from farming. My parents are still alive and healthy and enjoying retirement. I have 68 cousins all alive and well and they have 140 children and they are all alive and well. I try to help people that are less fortunate than I am. I give Christmas trees away for cheritable causes. I eat right, I work hard at 52 years old, I can still do 60 push-ups and 20 pull-ups without stopping, stand and walk on my hands and jog around our property and can still out work men half my age.
Many would consider me a model citizen, but by your liberal standards I am considered a lost soul, messed up and ignorant.
You on the other hand hold Obama up on a pedastol, a former cocaine and marijuana user. Who had a hippy mom and African dad who left him and his mom. Obama was sent to the finest schools on the backs of his white grandparents whom he disgraced with his race comment about his grandmother in his campaine. He listened to Jeremiah Wright preach hatred towards the United States and he sought out and befriended communists, America haters and radicals like bill Aeyers. He worked for ACORN an organization rife with corruption. He learned from the rough and corrupt Chicago politics machine. He was the most liberal senator. He lied to voters about his intentions to eliminate earmarks. He lied about working accross party lines to get things done for the good of the country. He appointed far left radicals in his cabinet. He apolagized to dictators around the world. He dismissed charges against black panthers who intimidated voters. He supported reading maranda rights to enemy combatants and wanted to appoint lawyers for them at tax payers expense instead of trying them in our military courts. He quadrupled the deficit in one year in office. And has plans to add more failing government entitlement programs projected in the trillions. he'll spent more on welfare in one year than the Iraq war has cost to date. In spight of video taped evidence showing corruption in ACORN he still was pushing for billions of tax dollars funneled to him. He supported the corruption of the 2nd Louisiana purchase, Cornhusker deal and another deal for Florida that would buy votes for the health care reform plan that 60% of the population dosn't want. He provides favors to Labor Unions, teachers unions and radical left groups. He showed his racism with his quick comments on his professor friends arrest by a white police officer doing his job. He supported the investigation of members of the CIA for waterboarding terrorists to gain vital information that could save lives around the world. He supports the global warming lie that has cost us billions and has pledged billions to developing countries for it. He accepted the nobel peace prize when he did nothing to do deserve it. He delayed his generals reccomendations for winning the war in Afghanistan risking how many American military lives. Now he claims credit for the success in Iraq which he and the vice president did not support. Yes this is the model president we should all trust and be proud of.
