any unprovoked attack is illegal, just as Obama Bin Laden's attack on the World Trade Centre was illegal. My last comment on this as well, except to say before anyone jumps in to say that Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11 (why do so many Americans believe this?), he and Bin Laden were enemies and would have happily killed each other given half a chance. Both represent consummate evil and it's too bad neither tried.
If 911 taught us anything it was not to wait for danger to come to our shores. Sadaam Hussein was trying to develop Nuclear weapons capabilities. He had one of the largest armed forces on earth. He had no love for the United States and if he had been allowed to develop nuclear weapons it would have been very easy and probable that he would have sold or given nuclear weapons to Alquida. Bush may have been a big hero we will never know for taking out Saddam. You have no foresight so I don't expect you to understand this. Perhaps when Toronto goes up via a terrorist nuclear devise quite possibly from Iran, then you will know why we are going into countries with dictatorships that could cause us real harm.
Before saying the US did the right thing, ask yourself why the US didn't do the same with Pinochet, Batista and others, insted of actively supporting them. There is an answer and it starts with 'O'.
These other regimes you mentiom were not trying to develop nuclear weapons and did not pose a real threat to us. Surely your smart enough to figure this out on your own. We would be wise however to take out Iran before they develop nuclear weapons, although Israel will probably do this on their own which will probably start WWIII. Of course you would consider that unprovoked even though the Iranian dicator threatened Israel. Meanwhile talking to the Iranian dictator has proved effective so far.
