Since the GOP now wants to increase the defict by extending the Bush tax cuts for those making over $250,000/yr

Tax cuts drive increased federal revenue. Spending more than you bring in increases the deficit . You want to bring in more money; cut taxes. You want to remove the deficit; cut spending. It's as simple as that.

One of the problems liberals have is that the thought of cutting ANYTHING in our budget, (outside of defense), is an absolutely foreign concept to them. The only way they can ever see attempting to meet their never ending and exponentially growing spending goals is to tax, tax, tax! But the thing that you can never get through your dense heads is; is that the more that you tax, the less money that you bring in.

Here's a thought for you liberals, no matter what the budget is year to year, spend only 95% of the projected annual federal income; apply the other 5% to the national debt. Instantly you will have no more deficit, and the actual debt of this country will decline over time. I realize that most of you will never ever get that concept; but trust me, it will work over time.

I could bring more common sense ideas to the table. But common sense just doesn't seem to compute with liberals.
