Obama had nothing to do with the loan to Brazil through the import-export bank.

If you had paid attention to the discussion, you'd have read that it was Bush-appointees that approved the loan, so obviously politics or otherwise did not play into the decision.

If you had paid attention to the discussion, you'd have also read that the loan was for Brazil to buy AMERICAN tools and equipment for the drilling, therefore saving AMERICAN jobs.

Maybe you also forgot that the Obama administration was in the process of relaxing offshore restrictions right before the bp disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Any prudent administration would have halted further offshore drilling until the accident was sorted out as to cause, and to revamp requirements and enforcement of them to prevent another catastrophe. To do otherwise would be irresponsible. And believe me, my work as a consultant is directly affected by this ban, so I'm looking forward to a resolution and resumption of drilling permits and activity.

Yes, I care what this man is doing, and I'm supportive of his efforts to move our country FORWARD, not backward. We may disagree on how to get "there" from "here" but I guarantee you I will never vote for a Republican/Tea Partier. They would "take back our country" --- to a disastrous result.
