Did you ever receive a response from your letter to ATT? I am a former U-verse customer who switched to Comcast six months ago. I use a magic jack for my home phone and Comcast doesn't work as well as U-verse did for my phone. So I decided to switch back to U-Verse even though it was going to cost me more for less service.
I waited all day for a morning installation. When the ATT installer finally called to say he needed to reschedule, I told him not to bother. I remain with Comcast and the problems associated with their services.
