The same poor thesis? Proven as a fallacy by historical FACT?
Don't worry. The 'rest of us' (except your apprentice caney) have you figured out. You are so upset that the 'neocon' republicans were ineffective against the socialist and communist liberals that have permeated the democratic party and Washington that the root of your hate of the republicans is because of just that..... they didn't stand up enough to the 'democrats' (not the JFK democrats) that you never find fault with. (I'll reply for you... it's bad grammar to end a sentance with a preposition, lake.)
No, you're most upset with the current regime, but you can't blame them for the record unemployment that, if its true number was reported, would send the markets into freefall and interest rates soaring, reminescent of the Carter years. (And yes, I know that those rates extended into the Reagan years, so don't bother to point it out. You can't turn a battelship on a dime.) If only those weak republicans had done something about it early enough we wouldn't be in this mess! Perhaps if Bush had done more about Fannie and Freddie, rather than just make a speech to the Democratic congress about the problems at the nation's mortgage GSE's, the hiousing crisis could have been avoided with responsible lending! It's all Bush's fault for not standing up to the democrats, isn't it?
If only these neocons had any cahones, we might have a sound economy, responsible lending, *extreme* unemployment rates of 5.3%, (and you don't have to explain why the rate started to skyrocket as it appeared that Sotero was going to get the nomination and subsequently the 'election').
No, I guess if McCain / Palin had done a better job, (well, actually the republican nomination process so that there was a choice rather than choosing between a communist (Sotero) a socialist ( Clinton) and a liberal (McCain) during the bulk of the election season until Sotero descended from the altar at his convention to 'save us all') stood up for true republican values, gotten their message out despite a filtering and overtly hostile media, we wouldn't be running the 1000 amp debt with a 10 amp circuit breaker..... hoping that the circuit breaker does not pop.
But, pop it will, and the reset will be very painful.
Now if only those stupid neocons had actually stood up to the socialist progressive liberal democrats.
I see why you are so upset.
Just like when they stood up to persuing a war after bombing a pharmaceutical plant based on faulty and criminally negligent 'intelligence'.
Oh yeah, good thing the fraud continues. Reported holiday hiring will help those unemployment numbers. Just don't ask the employees if they are being sent home after an hour of work because the demand that was thought to be there isn't materializing. No, go ahead and do ask. It may make a good trade for a put position.
