Sure. Look at the DOW that has a basis in a manufactured monetary system.

Print more paper money and I'll make the DOW go up as those extra dollars need to go somewhere..... they ain't making it to Joe and Jane Voter, that's for sure. The banks are freely trading the dollars given to them in TARP (un'spent', or un'used') with their HFT algos along with the PPT to keep the manufactured DOW number up.

How does the DOW compare against real money.... like gold?
