An Open Letter to The People of The United States
From: The Established Media
For many years, we in the media have been considered the watchdogs to government power for a free and moral society. It is with regret we must admit that we as a whole have failed you, the citizens of this country, in the past four years. Last night's election results indicate that we failed to report the truth, we failed to do enough critical investigations of those in power, and we failed to criticize when warranted, and it is obvious that criticism of those who have been in power has been appropriate. We failed in our duties to report, investigate and criticize the party in power, and to bring that truth to you, the American People.
We will perform a very detailed investigation of out methods and journalistic practices over the next two months. A summary of our findings and remedies will be forthcoming.
Sincerely,
the msm

An Open Letter to The People of The United States
From: The Established Media
Two months ago, we undertook a thorough investigation of our jounalistic practices and policies as a result of the message you sent on November 6, 2012. Our investigation revealed, quite simply, we failed to report the truth and to question those in the government as well as those in power. To that end, we have determined that starting immediately, we will hereby promise to the American People that we will be all over this new administration, we will question EVERYTHING they say, even if it's a claim that 'water is wet', we will look into every figure they produce, and hold the new administration and congress to tell the absolute truth regarding their budgets, taxes and programs.
We realize this is the only way we will ever regain our credibility with you. So, with a new administration, we acknowledge our past failures, and state unequivocally that we are now the rabid watchdogs the Constitution intended us to be.
Sincerely,
the msm
It doesn't take a Nostradamous to figure out the msm will follow through with the 'promise'.... even if these letters don't ever get printed.
