Thanks SudburyBoy for the reminder re reduced production. I completely over looked it because the resource reduction overshadowed for me that change.

As the Euro or dollar falls the flight is to gold and 'safer currencies, while as they recover money moves out of the precious metals into the currencies. That is an easy concept to grasp.

Where the problem lies IS that the western manipulators want to control that movement and sell 'paper' gold and silver to keep investors from the real metals. Thus with the paper they depress the PM prices and falsely report causes of influences. This way these metals do not appear very safe and the currencies such as Euro and US buck are 'protected'.

Greece will default, it is almost a given. The austerity measures are not sufficient, the 50% debt cut is not enough and the bail out if given will delay default but the populace is not in a mood to suffer the cuts. It has to default.

With Greek defaults, a few European banks are at risk of bankruptcy and the Euro will plunge. It is all a matter of time.
Ditto for the US dollar. Congress is not cutting back but playing politics with the public ( falesly reporting unemployment etc.). In short they are also playing the delaying game instead of curing the deficits and debt.

This means that the dollar will follow the Euro but later. Dollar has to depreciate a lot more (QE3 will happen) to be able to restore stability to US economy.

As for Nevsun, I question the reduction in resource. Is it so, could such a mistake happen when resource estimates are often checked by independent entities?
Even if so why the reduction in production? Continue with previously planned production and advance to the lower layers earlier.

I suspect it is a planned reduction to not sell too much into prices too low. They are certain prices will be higher in not too distant future and they have more than enough income from reduced production for further exploration and development.
