New Gold is a Canadian-based gold mining with a portfolio of four producing assets (the Cerro San Pedro, Mesquite, New Afton, and Peak Mines) and three development projects (the Rainy River, Blackwater and El Morro mines).

The company was once one of the lowest-cost gold miners in the world at one point, but unfortunately, the company is quickly losing this title. For the first quarter of 2015, while New Gold's gold production increased by 4% to 94,977 ounces, its all-in sustaining costs (AISC) per gold ounce rose to $1,014 per ounce.
