Not only investing, but in every road one travels through life, emotions are the prominant factor in the direction you take. Fear is probably the most basic one. The true measure of a person though, is the extent to which you can control those emotions, rather than to what extent they control you.

The above is not my invention. It is something I read many, many years ago, and I still have to remind myself of it when decision time comes around.
