Much is being written today regarding RJ and the strategy they are using. Everyone seems to agree that it is a computer program doing the trades, and that they do not help our cause at the moment, but why should it?
Everyone here has a strategy that they use when they purchase shares and how they purchase them, as well as when they sell and how they sell. RJ obviously has their own game plan, and the fact that they haven't told us what it is does not make it illegal (lawyers and policemen??). In order to sell the shares, they must own them, and they are allowed to sell them in whatever lots and price they want, when they want. That it is manipulation, is obvious, but illegal, no. They have a plan, and part of that plan includes having the SP hang below .70 for the moment.
Each of us fits into one of 3 categories. long term holder, buyer today, or seller today.
If you are a long term holder, todays SP is of no consequence to you. At some point a few months down the road, when the SP is bouncing between $3 and $4, it won't matter a whit whether the SP on Mar 12 was .70 or .90.
If you are a buyer, you should be smiling and buying as this opportunity can't last much longer.
If you are a seller, it is probably because you were caught in the downdraft, and forced to sell. If that is the case you probably have already sold.
I have said in the past, and will reiterate again, rather than lamenting the actions that the market is taking to manipulate your money away from you, analyse the situation, determine the purpose of these manipulations and capitalize on them.
Shortly now, this weather is going to improve, Spring will be here, D12 will get the cottage opened up, and all will finally be as it should be.
