Just a thought, the closure may have alot to do with the Noranda-Falconbridge takeover 5 years ago, opposed to anything else. I belive Horne smelter is also copper, so I would imagine Kidd's copper conc. is now going to Horne and there zinc conc. is now going to Belledune both former Noranda smelters where as timmons is a former Falconbridge smelter that was made some what redundant. I have no idea just throwing an idea out there.
