I disagree with your blanket statement Don Jose. You are comparing apples to oranges and I will say this and then remain silent.

As a woman who has dedicated her entire life to empowering ethnic minorities, I will say that the majority of my people want to work....are desperate to provide for themselves and their families. However, when daycare, housing, utility, food and essential expenses eat up entry level wages, one is sometimes forced to take a step backward. We are the first to acknowledge that our "system" has flaws, but we continue to tweak it, in an effort to eliminate mutigenerational welfare dependency.
