TNR is in Argentina!
Potash mine development in Argentina is less than half of that in Canada.
Rio Tinto's Potasio Rio Colorado potash mine is projected to cost about $900 M for 4.6Mt/year production compared with BHP's $ $2-3 billion for a 2.4 Mt/year production.
Incidentally, BHP's number one choice for potash development was Argentina-not Saskatchewan. The company tried to get into potash exploration in Argentina before it settled in Saskatchewan. Argentina rejected BHP's forays on the grounds of its close links to Britain over the Falklands [Malvinas territorial dispute].
