If Suncor succeeds in taking out PetroCanada I predict that Nexen will be the next takeout target and Syncrude will be the buyer as this will enable Syncrude to take over Nexen's bitumen production and give it diverse conventional production sources around the globe to better compete against Suncor.

Does anybody still think that PetroCanada will be a buyer of Oilexco with Suncor's proposed takeover today?
