ORVANA REPORTS SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF ANNUAL WAGE NEGOTIATIONS AT ITS UMZ MINE IN BOLIVIA

Annual union wage negotiations as mandated under Bolivian law have been successfully completed at Orvana Minerals Corp.'s Don Mario upper mineralized zone open-pit mine in Bolivia (the UMZ mine).

The intermittent work disruptions experienced during the wage negotiations ceased in late July and the company does not expect any further legal work stoppages at the UMZ mine.

"We are pleased to have completed the annual wage negotiations," said Michael Winship, interim president and chief executive officer.
