TACA joins Points.com's network

Sep 03, 2008 (INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS via COMTEX) -- Points International Ltd (PTS)(PTSEF), the owner and operator of a loyalty point management programme, has announced that El Salvador-based airline TACA International Airlines SA has joined the network of loyalty points programmes partnered with Points.com.

TACA will also be joining Points.com's Global Points Exchange (GPX) programme, which is a peer-to-peer marketplace allowing users to establish their own exchange rates and trade miles.

As a result of the partnership, TACA will be launching a new co-branded website, allowing member's of TACA's DISTANCIA Loyalty Programme to swap DISTANCIA miles with other participating airlines and hotels and redeem miles for gift certificates from various retailers.
