I'm not saying they are necessarily dumping the shares only on the retail investor - but if the 63% of retail investors hold on to their shares - because they truly believe in the company (or alternatively are drinking the cool-aide)- in a supply-demand market - supply is reduced, thus supporting the price to some degree IMHO. Of course, as more options come due, unless there is some significant commercial breakthough (as we have been waiting for for 3 years)- it will become progessively more difficult to hold the floodgates. Until then, the believers have to be kept believing (I still own shares -but not with my grocery money).
