In written communication the risk of being misunderstood is always much greater than in oral or face-to-face communication. Articulation and body language are missing, which carry a large part of the message.

So in a forum we should not be annoyed too much about being misunderstood, but take it as part of the game instead. Your dialog partner misunderstood you? Clarify what is to be clarified, and don't bear a grudge against each other. Well, probably next time you'll misunderstand him. ;-)
