According to what we see in the video, Intel would not only have to buy POET (the easy part), but also develop ideas on what to do with it (the hard part), other than just developing chips for PCs. Intel would have to develop new markets, otherwise with POET it would just turn into a smart and fast dinosaur, but still remain a dinosaur.

While Intel could buy POET easily and with POET would have a better chance to catch up with other players in the mobile markets, I am wondering whether a licensing model couldn't bring in more revenues for us in the long run. I can imagine that licensing the POET technology could develop a variety of very different markets, more specialized markets that would be too small for a giant like Intel to address.
