The only way venture stocks and even some still speculative main board TSX stocks overcome manipulation is really simple, I'm surprised all these high priced and placed management don't seem to get it (and i'm not talking about just POET's management)

  • Underpromise and overdeliver. Take a page from Apple's book, they would always underestimate their financial numbers and surprise the market on the plus side. For venture stocks, and ESPECIALLY Poet, don't throw a timeline out there if you're not going to meet it. The disclaimer that it is "on or about" doesn't fly. This is the venture exchange, you will get killed and we did.
  • Enough of the forward looking statements. Poet has a history of these vis a vis Solar. The market won't get fooled again. The market wants to see real deals with real names and real accomplishments. Case Study: INT
  • Be proactive in your communications with shareholders. Chris coming on this board is awesome, so points for that bigtime. But it shouldn't have taken a near mutiny on this board to get the company to issue that last well written NR. This is related to point 1 above.
  • Diversify the shareholder base. The company mentioned they are doing this in the last MD&A so kudos. Being held ransom by 1 or 2 big shareholders (we all know who) is a recipe for disaster.
