@Scary
"Some are already suggesting the last few days that we won't hear anything until after Q4. Its frustrating to hear other fellow longs being ok with that, and shows the kind of low expectations that the company has now set."
I don't think you'll find any of the longs saying they're happy about waiting. But as for being OK with it, you might be right. It all comes down to how you view the situation, i.e., how much control we, or the company, have over the progress that has to be made before we can hear about PDA partners, license deals etc. If you accept that the delays we have had to endure have come despite the best efforts of the company, you will likely be OK with it. Again we're not happy about delays, but we're able to accept it and understand the futility of raging against it.
POET being unable to report anything now, or as you say possibly even until after Q4 is done, is not something that can be controlled. So yes, when the company says they can't report anything new right now, I say 'Fine, let me know when you have something' and that's it. These are not lowered expectations, it's accepting reality. This isn't the drive thru at Tim Hortons, where you can complain when you get gyped a few timbits. In that case making a complaint might give satisfaction and make change. But POET is supposed to change the world. And very few people on Earth would be able to navigate POET at this stage without any missteps or miscalculations.
For different reasons, I share your frustration. I bought POET in 2011, and at that time I told people that the best part about it was I should know within a year if buying the stock was going to pay off huge. Here we are after more than double that amount of time still waiting for the fully integrated chip. But as long as the teams making this happen are busting their cans 24/7, and by all accounts they are, I don't think there's anything else to do but to be patient.
