Personally, i believe that something big is coming up. Could be some sort of JV, liscensing, sale or partial sale, a sale being least likely at this time. Keep in mind that in the consumer electronics world, secrecy could mean the difference between success and failure. Not respnding to e -mails is a major departure of behavior for this company. However, timing is impossible to guess,because if an agreement in principle is already made, negotiation of detaills and review by Counsel could take days or weeks. Could be today or in January. However, I believe we can ignore thr amateurish pattern of timing the announcement only early in the week or not close to holidays. This is much too big to worry about who takes Fridays or extra holidays off. In fact the partner (s) may actually prefer an announcement on a slow day. If we do see a MS announcement, it will probably be for the purpose of giving them more time to complete the agreement, without alarming the potential competition.
