I'm not going to look for any meaning in Chu's response. It was clearly intended for only one recipient and not for mass consumption. It's possible that Chris would have spent more time crafting a reponse if he thought it was going to be teased apart and analyzed.

POET technology is very advanced and even with the best of intentions, Chris may choose words that have unintended connotations. For example, he apparently replied to questions posed by jwblue who has been doing some DD and posting on other boards for feedback. Well, it's actually the p-channel that has been historically slow in GaAs, so the secret sauce is really in POET's workaround for this channel, not the n. The n-channel has always been blazing fast in GaAs and some researchers have even been trying to work with a n-channel-only approach to enable GaAs ICs.

A tiny slip makes all the difference. I would prefer to let the company fully explain in NRs. They have very recently stated in no uncertain terms that MS7 is proceeding without any technical issues, MS5 is low priority and easy, and MS8 is on track. I'll take them at their word and reserve judgement until they announce there are insurmountable issues with the 100nm effort.
