While the delay of milestones is a bit disappointing and the 100 nm target seems to be harder to achieve than expected on company equipment, I do like that our company seems to approach the licensing path, i.e. not simply selling POET to the highest bidder.
The news release talks about "customers", "partners", and "licensed designs" (all plural). The following statement suggests the same direction: "The Company intends to split monetization of the IP between multiple commercial markets and military applications and products to maximize returns of all the different aspects of the POET IP."
This was of course no thorough analysis of this news release, but just a first impression. Overall I consider it 80 % positive.
Thanks, POET, for eventually giving us a sign of life, and good luck with the targets – technologically as well as commercially!
Andrea ("Powered by POET")
