Its not really about whether POET could be worth $5, $10, $20 billion, rather what piece of the pie us retail investors will see. If it got bought out for much less (say $1-2 billion) it doesn't mean in 5 years the company that owns POET won't have it valued at $10-20 billion alone. We just might never see it unfortunately. A lot of these over valued tech companies today are the ones that have went public already in the multi-billion dollar range and had their major growth when they were private. For this to grow from say a 50-100 million market cap to $10 billion untouched would be rather rare, but still crossing my fingers.
